We are a multidisciplinary team of researchers, professors and clinicians from the University of Salamanca (USAL) and the Institute for Biomedical Research of Salamanca (IBSAL), dedicated to translational research on renal and cardiovascular diseases.

PhD Thesis Defence

On 25 October 2021, the TRECARD doctoral student Elena Ruiz Ferreras defended her doctoral thesis entitled “New Diagnostic System Based on the Nonlinear Relationship of Serum Creatinine and Urinary NGAL for Detecting the Rapid Progression of Advanced Chronic Kidney Disease”, in Salamanca (Spain), receiving the highest mark.

PhD Thesis Defence

On 16 July 2021, the TRECARD doctoral student Giampiero A. Massaro successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled ‘Pathophysiological Characterisation and Identification of Biomarkers of Chronic Kidney Damage”, and was awarded the distinction of cum laude.
